I can’t believe I got away with this.
They already smell weird, and I’m pretty sure they are going to annoy me beyond belief, but don’t act like these aren’t the cutest little things you’ve ever seen.
Walter is a bit more curious than I’d like, but I can lock him out of my office easily enough to keep them safe when I can’t supervise.
We’ll see how this goes. The good thing about ducks is that they grow faster than chickens, so they should be big enough to kick out into the backyard in a month or less.

EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee!!! I want some!! They would have loved our weather today. The 17th Street ditch flooded and they closed some streets and evacuated people on Monroe St. Did Ron agree to your maternal foray?

He went along with it and helped load their feed and shavings into the car. I think he was beginning to realize those barred Rock pullets were going to lead to the purchase of a $500 chicken coop in the very near future, so he decided it was easier to cut his losses and put up with my latest acquisition.
