I just realized what a hopeless child of the ’80s I truly am. The desktop wallpaper on my iPod is a picture of Ryne Sandberg, whose stellar glove gilded second base at Wrigley Field for most of the ’80s. His face is hard to see, because it’s hidden behind desktop icons for the following apps: Pac-Man, Pong, Space Invaders, Frogger, and my personal favorite, Q*Bert.
We won’t even talk about all the ’80s pop music on my iTunes.
Not bad for a girl who’s spent most of her life trying to gate-crash the Baby Boomers’ parties….
