I took Riggy jogging this morning. We ran a mile on the River Trail. We probably could have gone a lot farther, but he’s not used to it, and I didn’t want him to wear raw spots on his pawpads like Songdog did one afternoon a few years ago.
We had a good day. We ran some errands and then went to the Gilcrease Museum to see the Charlie Russell exhibit, which closes soon. We had dinner at Campus Grill, which is across the street from TU, in the space formerly occupied by The Collective. I’m still hacked off that the landlord jacked up the rent to some exorbitant price just to drive The Collective out of business, because it was a GREAT coffeehouse, but this new place is pretty good.
I made a broccoli casserole and a batch of twice-baked potatoes to post on Grace’s blog. She’s recuperating from surgery and won’t be cooking or blogging for a while, so I’m filling in to keep her traffic from dropping too much in her absence.
I still haven’t cleaned the house. I did, however, start decluttering my classroom Friday after school. I have a long way to go, but at least I made a dent in it. I’m planning to spend at least 15 minutes a day working on it between now and the end of school. Hopefully it will be easier to wind things down for the summer that way.
