My kids are reading Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech. It’s practically a how-to manual for effective activism. We’re listing ways to be effective. We’re about halfway through, and so far, we’ve got:
1. Stay positive.
2. Stay together.
3. Stay on message.
4. Sacrifice for your cause.
5. Hit ’em in the pocketbook.
It’s really cool to see some of the kids actually listening. Those kids will be the ones who change the world….
