I like to take clothes off the line after they’ve dried in a breeze on a sunny day because they smell better than anything I ever pulled out of a dryer. I especially like to sleep on sheets that have dried that way.
Line-dried sheets are nice. If you’re ever in the Texas Panhandle, you should stay at the Vega Motel. Tresa always dries her sheets on the clotheslines in the courtyard. I think Miss Lillian used to do that at the Blue Swallow, too.
You all are in luck because I have plenty of items that need to be removed at my dryer this very second and I seriously doubt it’s going to be done today. Feel free to come on by and fold my laundry!!
