Wow. Wow, wow, wow. We just saw Judy Collins. From the fourth row. At a little teeny 300-seat venue called One World Theatre. It was absolutely wonderful.
I want to look and sound exactly like her when I grow up. That is all.

Heading south
I am heading to Austin this weekend to hear two concerts: Judy Collins and Willie Nelson. (WARNING: The Willie Nelson site contains audio. Don’t click the link if your boss thinks you are doing something productive right now.)
I’ve wanted to see Judy Collins since I was in high school, so I am very excited about this trip. Unfortunately, I will not get to stay at the historic Austin Motel, because it is booked up solid (this weekend is the South by Southwest music festival) … but I will be in town, I will get to hear two of my favorite singers, and I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that Judy Collins will sing the Londonderry Air, since she will be performing on St. Patrick’s Day and all. Her version gives me goosebumps.
Have a good weekend. I’ll try to bring back pictures from Austin, the hippie capital of Texas.
