Happy, happy, joy, joy

My sunflowers are blooming like crazy, I pulled a half-dozen ripe tomatoes off the vines, the cucumber vines are loaded down, and I spent this morning getting paid to stand around shooting the bull with a guy whose dad used to run a neon shop on Route 66 right here in Red Fork.

That would have been enough to make today great. The fact that I got a promotion at work this afternoon is just a big ol’ layer of gooey German chocolate frosting on the cake.

Oh, and just for good measure, I was meeting a friend in Sapulpa this evening when I discovered that the Happyburger is now open until 9 p.m. these days. They used to close at 7. A cheeseburger and a chocolate malt from the Happyburger … that’s like the sprinkles on top of the icing on the cake. :)
